Xícara

root From traditional to avant-garde sounds, bringing the word, the Portuguese group Xícara exquisitely recreates the music and songs of their land, their own compositions and adaptations of traditional pieces. Xícara is also a tribute to the Portuguese language and its worker-poets such as António Botto , João Penha de Oliveira Fortuna and João Cabral Nascimento .

The band was born in the region of Minho, between Guimarães and Famalicão in 2010 and recently launched their first EP with a series of concerts in FNACs and other sites around the country.

deixares eu say I have (António Botto), Eternal Feminine (João Penha de Oliveira Fortuna), Cantiga (João Cabral Nascimento) and danced Cantiga (traditional Beira Baixa region) are the issues that make this first EP Xícara, distributed through the online store Mdparte editorial.

The band members are Carla Carvalho (voice), David Viegas (bajo y voice), Hélder Costa (braguesa guitar, mandolin, ukulele), Nuno Cachada (clásica guitar), Pedro Oliveira (Percusión) y Rui Ferreira "Caps" (piano, accordion).
